Plant Hire firm One Call are already reaping the rewards of investing in security with 5 failed attempts to steal their vehicles in the Middlesex area since January. One Call Hire, who gave Hitachi their largest order to date in the UK with the '4.5 million deal, also fitted Meck Lock System to all the excavators delivered. Tony Fitzpatrick, director of One Call Hire, said 'we are absolutely delighted with the Meck Lock System and the security it offers our fleet and ultimately our customers. We see Meck Lock as a method of improving the service we offer our customers and differentiates us from the competition. Our customers have been particularly pleased with our proactive approach to security as ultimately it is their insurance premiums we are protecting Mr Fitzpatrick went on to say we used to fit tracking type systems but when they were stolen we only got about 40% back. The Meck Lock System has saved my customers over '100,000 and us considerable administration charges in getting replacement machines.
